We need delivery drivers!
About 60% of our campers are delivered to customers. We currently have a couple of delivery drivers and are looking to add more as demand increases for deliveries.
Job Description
Mobile Bay Camper Rentals is seeking an additional transport RV driver to join our team! The driver would tow the camper to the campsite location at a designated time, stabilize and hook it up (to power/sewer/water) and pick it up when the rental period is over.

Responsibilities
Communicate with owners of Mobile Bay Camper Rentals to schedule and arrange for timely delivery and pickup of rented campers.
Drive responsibly, ensuring that units are hitched safely and properly for successful transport.
This job involves some dialogue with company customers. Therefore, professional and friendly decorum is a MUST.
Demand for unit delivery fluctuates, therefore a flexible schedule is preferred.
Requirements of a Driver
25 years of age and older, for insurance purposes
The applicant will need to have a valid driver’s license and pass a background check that is intended to check driving history. A clear driving record is a definite requirement.
Experience with RV's is a definite requirement. The applicant must be familiar and confident with towing an RV and setting it up (and unhooking) to campground hookups.
The applicant must own a reliable and insured truck that has a 7-Pin Round Female wiring harness, and independent braking system. A heavy duty 3/4 ton truck or bigger is preferred. Our campers can weigh up to 9,000 pounds and a larger truck is required to tow safely.
An easy-going, customer friendly, and professional disposition with customers is a must. You may be the only person our customer meets from the company, great impressions count!
Hours
This is a part time position with fluctuating working hours. Flexible working hours are preferred as rentals are delivered/picked up at differing times. This is a 1099 position and is great for those that want some extra cash from time to time. Our reservations have some seasonality and demand so realistically you may be needed 1-2 times per week with some weeks needing no drivers as reservations may be pickup only.
Pay
The driver will be paid the entire amount that MBCR receives for delivery fees. Applicants can view delivery rates for customers here. These fees go directly to the driver to compensate the driver for time, wear and tear to his/her vehicle, and fuel fees. We pay for each direction of the trip, as an example, if a delivery fee total is $300 we will pay $150 each way to the driver.

Where would I be delivering to?

What does a delivery involve?
Towing the camper to the campsite, levelling it, and setting up water, sewer and power at the hookups the site provides. On collection, dumping and flushing the tanks.
